Retail Sales Policy
(Effective April 1, 2008)
Due to the increased demand on our wholesale nursery from retail
customers for native plants that cannot be procured from retail
outlets, we have decided to extend the opportunity for homeowners to
come to our nursery and purchase plant material. These types of
purchases will be at a retail price that is above the wholesale
price we reserve for our commercial customers. Because we are a
wholesale commercial operation and are not set up to handle
individual retail customers, we find it necessary to implement a
retail price structure. These types of transactions take away from
our wholesale production and pull resources from our primary
operation to handle this type of service.
Retail sales for smaller quantities are encouraged to limit their
visits to our special Saturday "Retail" Sale Days that are scheduled
to occur on the first Saturday of each month beginning on a regular
basis in September 2008.
If you are a customer, who knows exactly what material you need; are
purchasing over $500 of material per visit; and can send us your
order prior to your visit, we will honor the wholesale price. If you
are not able to meet all of these criteria, retail pricing will
apply. The retail prices we offer are higher than our wholesale
prices, but below prices you would see at an ordinary retail outlet.
To all of our customers who we have allowed to purchase materials at
a wholesale rate, we apologize for this inconvenience. However, we
find it a necessity to adjust our pricing policies to reflect on
those services that are a drain to our company's resources and
divert manpower from our company's primary operation. We thank you
for your understanding and cooperation.
